The inspiration for this Sanibel wedding was “1970’s beach chic”. I loved how unique this wedding is. Jamie put so much attention to details and her love for antique is incorporated in everything. The wedding cake was also inspired by designs popular in the 1970’s. The bridesmaids wore floral printed maxi dresses, similar to the ones Jamie’ mom wear at her sister’s wedding in the 1970’s, too.The bride went antique shopping in Florida, Indiana, and to find the wedding cake toppers and also collected cake stands and glass domes to make the centerpieces for the tables. How fun and personal it is!
Jamie always loved Audrey Hepburn, and her actual tea-length, long sleeved, satin wedding dress. Bride wanted an exact replica, and could not believe when she found a seamstress on Etsy from Singapore who was able to make Audrey Hepburn’s wedding dress! She made the sleeves on the dress sheerer though to help with the Florida heat! At the reception, Jamie changed into a more casual dress from BHLD that had rainbow detailing- rainbows help to memorialize the passing of her mother who loved rainbows. Both were very special dresses and fit the theme of the wedding perfectly.
